Seagate shows off its 10tb capacity hdd
Seagate is one of the world's leading HDD manufacturers along with Western Digital, the brand reaffirms its position with the launch of its new drive with a 10TB storage capacity.
Seagate knows that SSDs outperform HDDs in many ways and that HDD manufacturers must put their batteries in order to offer attractive products to users. Thanks to the helium sealing technology and thus avoid the turbulence generated by the air, Seagate has been able to manufacture an HDD with a storage capacity of 10 TB using seven 1.43 TB plates each and 14 reading heads.
Helium sealing technology helps reduce wear and tear on the device and reduces energy consumption, this new creation of the brand promises a life time before failure of 2.5 million hours, making it a very attractive product for great servers.
