The Sharkoon B1 are presented in an elegant cardboard box of very good quality. The box is built in black and uses its front part to display the brand's logo along with a great image of the helmets. We open the box and we find a large black case that hides the headphones and all the accessories, for its opening we only have to use the zipper. It is time to focus on the Sharkoon B1 helmets themselves, they are circumaural headphones that bet on a simple bridge design in their headband, with this, enough closing pressure is achieved to achieve a good isolation without being too excessive. and annoying on the ears. The headband is padded enough to be comfortable helmets to wear during long sessions, whether for gaming or multimedia content. As we can see, the product is completely black and a fairly conservative design has been chosen without the aggressive lines that we are used to seeing in all the products most intended for gamers. The sound quality is determined by its neodymium drivers with a size of 40 mm, the rest of its characteristics include an impedance of 32 Ω, a frequency response of 20 Hz - 20, 000 Hz, a sensitivity of 103 dB ± 3 dB and a maximum power of 100 mW.

Thinking about the comfort of the users Sharkoon has put in the B1 an abundant and very soft padding, this is perfectly combined with the design so that the closing pressure on our ears is not excessive or too light to avoid isolation.

Every good recommended headset for video games needs a microphone and the Sharkoon B1 are not the exception, it has opted for a microphone with a removable design so that we can store it when we are not using it and it does not bother us. Its installation is as easy as putting it in the 3.5 mm jack port that is next to the connection cable and it is ready to be used. It is a unidirectional micro with an impedance of 2.2 kΩ, a frequency response of 50 Hz - 10, 000 Hz and a sensitivity of -40 dB ± 2 dB.

Finally we see the modular cable that we must connect to the jack connector of the integrated cable in Sharkoon B1, this modular cable logically serves to lengthen the main one and also integrates the control knob and the two 3.5 mm jack connectors that we will need to be able to use both the headphones and your microphone on our PC. After having used the Sharkoon B1 for several days we can make a final assessment of the product. The manufacturer has opted for a stereo sound system and based on 3.5 mm jack connectors, this offers us a much higher compatibility than headsets with a USB interface and virtual 7.1 sound, for example we can use them on smartphones, tablets, consoles and any device with a 3.5mm jack port for sound output. Video games are already prepared to offer a good positioning with stereo headphones so the absence of a virtual 7.1 system is not something that should worry us when purchasing them, many times a stereo system works much better than virtual envelopes.

Sharkoon B1 mounts 40mm neodymium drivers, a size that may seem little compared to what we are used to seeing but its quality is very good and the sound is at a great level, in addition the pads offer good insulation, a great comfort and its circumaural design enhances the bass that is usually the main weak point with drivers that are not very large. The sound is very loud, so it will not fall short in any case. Finally we have the micro which, as usual, is the weakest point of these helmets, it will help us to communicate without problems with our friends when we are playing and for videoconferences.
