Unboxing and design

The Sharkoon Rush ER2 headset comes in a black cardboard box in which we see no sign of yellow, the other corporate color of the brand and that is usually present in almost all its products. On the front it mentions its most important characteristics while on the back all its specifications are detailed in several languages, including Cervantes so that no user gets lost. The box has a small window that allows us to see the product.

First of all we look at the modular cable, this serves several functions, since it allows us to lengthen the base cable of the helmets and, in addition, it includes a control knob with a wheel for the volume and mute of the microphone. This cable is also used to separate the speakers and the microphone into two 3.5mm connectors with two poles each. As we can see, the cable is braided and finished in black and green.

We now turn to see the Sharkoon Rush ER2 headset, the first thing we have to say is that the aesthetics are very careful to be a very economical product, Sharkoon always takes great care of this type of detail. Helmets are made by combining black plastic and metal, the former is the most abundant and helps maintain a light weight of only 266 grams.

As we see the headset is based on a simple bridge design in the headband, which is padded on the inside to offer greater comfort of use, a detail that is appreciated. It is not the best padding but it looks like it will do its job perfectly.

This headband is attached to the domes with a height adjustment system, thanks to which the headset will adapt perfectly to the head of all users, the route is quite wide.

We arrived at the domes which is where the speakers are hidden, these are made of plastic and have a design based on micro-perforations that looks great.

The pads seem quite scarce although it is logical in a very cheap product, and it is that this is a detail that we must not lose sight of. Inside are speakers with the following characteristics:

Sharkoon Rush ER2 has left us feeling quite good and better than we expected, the design is quite comfortable and does not bother to wear the headset, something that undoubtedly helps its low weight. The padding seemed scarce but in reality it does its job perfectly, perhaps they put a little too much pressure on the ears but with use they will give way and will not squeeze us.

The sound quality is very remarkable if we take into account its price, logically the drivers that have been installed have their limitations and we cannot even expect spectacular quality but they perform quite well, their sound enhances the bass as in almost all gaming headsets. To listen to music they are also quite good in general although the media seems a little scarce, a good equalizer helps somewhat to improve them.

Finally we talk about the microphone, it works quite well and captures our voice in a quite clear and undistorted way as long as we do not exceed 80% of its volume from the Windows control panel, from there its quality declines a lot.
