Sharkoon increases its range of products with the Sharkoon Monitor Stand, which, as its name indicates, is a support specifically designed to place a monitor or a laptop, thereby achieving a more direct viewing angle and, in turn, allowing to hide under the stand, an extended keyboard, a short one or whatever you want. Along with this model, another Pro model has been put on sale that incorporates a hub with 4 USB 3.0 ports.

Unboxing

The Sharkoon Monitor Stand comes packed in a simple rectangular box with the stand image and features on the back in different languages.

The box has a handle for greater carrying comfort. Opening the box, we found the Sharkoon Monitor Stand well protected by bubble wrap. The total content of the box is:

Design

The Sharkoon Monitor Stand is made of sturdy, one-piece aluminum and can be found in two colors, black and silver. It has measures of 55 x 22 x 6 cm and a weight of 1.38 Kg. Its upper part has a flat area of 40 x 20 cm that curves slightly until it reaches the side edges. In this central area and next to the edge, the company logo is screen printed.

The lateral edges, which act as legs, are an extension of the upper part, they have an opening that makes it easy to insert the hands to hold the support and move it if necessary. Right in the opening of the right leg, there are the 4 USB 3.0 ports included in the Sharkoon Monitor Stand Pro model.

This hub has a 100 cm long cable to connect it to the computer without having to worry about its length.

Each of the side legs of the Sharkoon Monitor Stand has two non-slip pads to prevent the stand from moving on the table.

The Sharkoon Monitor Stand is capable of supporting monitors and laptops weighing up to 15 Kg.

The height of 6 cm provided by the Sharkoon Monitor Stand allows us to raise the screen and have a better viewing angle and, on the other hand, it allows us to hide or slide any peripheral under it. The best utility that we have found is to hide the keyboard and mouse to have a larger work surface. The width of 22 cm will allow us to place practically any keyboard without worrying about its measurements.

Conclusion and final words of the Sharkoon Monitor Stand

Our impressions regarding the Sharkoon Monitor Stand are quite good, and it's not that it takes a lot to be good in the world of monitor stands, but both the quality of the manufacturing material, which makes it very durable, and the simple design but elegant, they add points in their favor. It is equally favorable, as other models do, the possibility of being able to store peripherals underneath or to be able to connect devices to its USB 3.0 in the Pro model without having to occupy ports on our computer.

One of its few drawbacks may be the price, which is around € 45 for the standard Sharkoon Monitor Stand and € 60 for the Sharkoon Monitor Stand Pro.

A price that may be in accordance with the use of aluminum in all the support instead of plastic, but it can back down some buyers who want to spend less on this type of product.
