Shuttle has announced its latest generation of "slim" Mini PCs, the XH310 and XH310V. These new teams are prepared for Intel Coffee Lake processors, two monitors and expandable disk capacity in a small chassis of only 3 liters of volume.

Shuttle XH310 / XH310V, barebones for Intel Coffee Lake

Both models are equipped with the Intel H310 chipset and socket 1151, that is, they support the eighth generation of Intel (Coffee Lake) processors, and if so the ninth, if the manufacturer offers a BIOS update. Then, multi-core processors with integrated graphics suitable for 4K multimedia and multi-monitor can be installed.

Regarding connectivity, both models have two Gigabit LAN ports, 4 USB 3.1 Gen1, 3 USB 2.0, 2 serial ports, HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA, so they will have a correct distribution of these connectors.

In terms of memory and storage, both models have two SO-DIMM slots (which will allow dual-hannel operation), which will support up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666MT / s. In addition, it also has two M.2 slots compatible with SSDs and Wi-Fi modules, and a bay on the front to install either a slim disk reader and 2 2.5 ″ disks, or 3 2.5 ″ disks without the ODD reader. The bay also serves to install a 3.5 ″ disc by purchasing a separate accessory.

Like other Shuttle barebones, the brand promises that the equipment is designed to operate 24/7 with an ambient temperature range of up to 50ºC, making it an ideal choice for office and business equipment, HTPCs, video surveillance, etc.

Definitely, the features are quite interesting and the range of possibilities is very wide considering the space, since the only limitation is the impossibility of installing a dedicated graphic. Unfortunately, the price and availability of this new series of mini-PCs are unknown.
