SilverStone Mammoth Series MMS02 is a new external case for 2.5-inch hard drives, the peculiarity of this model is that it has an IP68 certificate, making it resistant to water and dust.

SilverStone Mammoth Series MMS02 reaches dimensions of 105 mm x 16 mm x 164.5 mm together with a weight of 20 grams, it is a case with a SATA III 6 Gb / s interface that allows the use of a SSD or HDD disk in a way external. For this, it has a VIA Labs VL715 controller, which is responsible for converting the SATA III interface into a USB 3.1 interface with a bandwidth of 10 Gbps, enough to be able to take advantage of all the benefits of an SSD disk externally.

This new case is compatible with both 7mm and 9.5mm discs, once connected to the PC, the unit will look like just another hard drive. When you are not using it, all you have to do is close the connector cover to guarantee that no dust or water can enter. SilverStone Mammoth Series MMS02 is made of aluminum, allowing highly efficient heat dissipation to avoid overheating of the disc included inside.
SilverStone includes USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C cables with a length of 4.2 meters, thus ensuring great compatibility. Pricing has not been announced.
