Silverstone RVZ02 Exterior and Unboxing

We find a large box, robust and paints in full color. The presentation cannot be better. We see in large letters " RVZ02 " and a picture of the product. On one of the sides we have all the technical characteristics of the product.

Once we open the box we find:

Silverstone RVZ02 box. Instruction manual. Mounting hardware. Flanges. Four adhesive feet. Stand to place the box vertically.

The Silverstone RVZ02 is an ITX format box and has dimensions of 38 x 8.7 x 37 cm (width x height x depth) and a weight close to 3.3 Kg. It is entirely made of premium steel and plastic quality. Currently we can find two versions, in full black or black with methacrylate window.

The front, even if it is plastic, slightly improves its lines. In its central area it has a small tab that when we lower it we find two USB 3.0 connections and an audio input / output. While the power button is in the left corner. Obviously we do not have space for the 5.25 ″ bay but we do have a slim recorder.

On the right side we find a methacrylate window with some small trades that improves the team's breathing. The same goes for the left side.

On the rear face of the Silverstone RVZ02 we have the hole for the rear connections of the motherboard, two expansion slots and the power connection of the power supply.

To open the box we only have to remove three screws in each of the covers. The Silverstone RVZ02 is compatible with Mini-ITX motherboards. Its internal structure is made of SECC steel painted in matt black.

Having a small team does not mean losing certain characteristics of a high-end tower. Right now the Silverstone RVZ02 offers us the same benefits as an ATX Tower. We are limited by the heatsink, which has a maximum height of 5.8 cm, but for the rest we are more than enough. It supports a 33cm graphics card and 80 PLUS certified SFX power supplies, like the SX600-G we recently reviewed.

On storage we will not have a problem, since it allows us to install two 2.5 ″ disks. In our case we recommend the use of some of our best SSDs on the market.

At the back we have the slot for the graphics card. How do I connect it? With all the adapters included in the box. The assembly may be somewhat complex at first, but reviewing the installation guide well in a couple of hours we will have mounted a cinema equipment.

Finally, we will talk about the wiring, since it has the control panel cables, the head for USB 3.0 ports and the AUDIO HD cable.

The Silverstone RVZ02 is a high-end itx box with a truly spectacular design. We have loved its sobriety and its possibilities for expansion. Thanks to its design we can mount any quality i7 processor and itx motherboards.

We do not have major restrictions, but we must bear in mind that it accepts 58 mm heatsinks and 330 mm dual slot graphics cards. So we can connect any quality GTX 980 Ti or AMD R9 Nano in it. Another fact in its favor, is a better distribution inside the box, allowing a quick and fairly intuitive installation.
