The trade war between the United States and China has been going on for a long time, and graphics cards are a minimal part of the affected products. Since companies don't want to reduce their profit margin and know that consumers will buy fewer products at higher prices, AMD and NVIDIA's AIB partners are taking steps to manufacture graphics cards outside of China.

AMD, NVIDIA partners seek to get rid of Chinese fees

The most seriously considered options are to manufacture graphics cards in Taiwan and Mexico, where the lack of an additional fee, coupled with relatively cheap labor, would allow manufacturers to keep operating costs stable and thus fixing prices for the end user.

While AMD and NVIDIA partners are searching for alternative manufacturing locations, the rates are already putting pressure on graphics card manufacturers, and card prices are expected to face a 5-10% increase in the coming months. This is new bad news, as NVIDIA's RTX series is already expensive enough to add additional cost.

At the moment, we do not know when this change will be made in the manufacture of graphics cards, but the price increase of 5-10% should be affecting the coming weeks for all those personalized graphics from AIB partners.
