Only amd x370 chipset will support nvidia sli

A few hours ago we got to know some of the main features of the X370 and B350 chipsets, which will come on most AM4 motherboards for AMD Ryzen processors.

X370 is the most complete chipset of AM4 motherboards

What we knew so far is that the X370 chipset will be the most complete, allowing for high overclocking capabilities and support for Nvidia's CrossFire X and SLI. What we weren't so sure about is the B350 chipset, its younger brother.

According to the specialized media ComputerBase, motherboards with this B350 chipset will only come with support for CrossFire X, leaving aside the Nvidia SLI. This is a double surprise, because this chipset was also not expected to support CrossFire X.

This is a very important fact to consider if you are going to buy an AM4 motherboard and also makes it clear that all the equipment exhibited by AMD a few days ago, in a private event for the press, were with X370 motherboards.

The motherboards with B350 were designed for the intermediate range at affordable prices, although they will not be able to get all the juice they could from the Ryzen processors. Probably a good combination would be a motherboard with a B350 chipset and the Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 3 series processors, which will come out after the high-end Ryzen series.
