The Sony SLW-M marks the debut of the Japanese brand in a market as competitive and close as it is that of SSD storage devices. Are you looking for a new SSD with excellent benefits? You may be interested.
The Sony SLW-M is built in a traditional 2.5-inch form factor with a SATA III 6GB / s interface and a thickness of just 7mm for greater compatibility with all devices. No details have been given about its controller or the NAND technology used but the brand claims it achieves sequential read and write rates of 560MB / s and 530MB / s respectively.
It will arrive in versions with a storage capacity of 240 GB and 480 GB accompanied by an adapter to increase its thickness to 9.5mm and includes an Acronis True image 2015 HD license to manage backups.
This new Sony SSD is sure to be a tough rival in the recently announced OCZ Trion 150 Series market.
