ASUS introduced a few hours ago two new motherboards for the Intel platform using the X299 chipset, designed for the Core-X series processors. These are the ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II and the Prime X299 Edition 30.
ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II
We start by talking about this motherboard and some of its most important features. Needless to say, this is a motherboard for performance enthusiasts who want to overclock their Intel processors to get the most out of them.
The motherboard has 12 power phases for this purpose and comes with a pre-installed 40mm fan to cool the chipset area and a single monoblock with the laser engraved ROG logo and RGB backlighting.
ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II offers excellent connectivity, with three M.2 slots, Internet connection via Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 and both Realtek 2.5Gbps and Intel Ethernet. It also has a 1.3-inch LiveDash OLED and a second-generation addressable RGB head for doing tricks with LED lights. 8 DDR4 DIMM banks can also be viewed.
Prime X299 Edition 30
This motherboard stands out for its completely white color and improved characteristics compared to the Gaming II model.
The ASUS motherboard has about 16 power phases, no less, thanks based on the IR3555 phases. In addition, it has the famous Japanese 10K capacitors, which deliver stable power in any situation.

The Prime X299 Edition 30 is complete with 2 Type-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, three M.2 ports and front USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector. As for the Internet connection, it boasts high-performance connectivity: Wi-Fi Fi 6 (802.11ax) integrated with MU-MIMO support, Aquantia 5 Gbps Ethernet and Intel Gigabit Ethernet.
