A new report published on the web indicates that AMD's next range of Radeon M400 Mobility graphics cards includes numerous renowned units, except for some high-end chips that will feature the next Polaris architecture.

According to the VideoCardz report, MAD will launch a renowned range for mobile platforms, followed by some Polaris GPUs later this year.

It seems that all units from the Radeon R5 M430 to the Radeon R9 M470X will be refried, while the Polaris GPU will only be integrated into the Radeon R9 M480 / M485 and M490 / M495 series.

This is not something AMD did for the first time, as the processor maker has already done something similar with the Radeon 200 and Radeon 300 series in both the desktop and laptop segments.

Apparently the new Radeon R9 M470X would be a renamed Radeon R9 M385X, which is based on the old Bonaire XT GPU, and features 896 stream processors, 56 TMUs, and 16 ROPs.

The Radeon R7 M460, R7 M440, R5 M445 and R8 M445DX would be based on the Topaz XT GPU, and will be renamed Radeon R7 M270DX, R7 M260, R7 M265DX and R7 M360, respectively.

The same goes for the Radeon R5 M430 (named R5 M330) based on the Sun XT architecture and the new Radeon R5 M430 (renamed R7 M260DX), which is based on the Jet Pro platform.

Very soon the Radeon M400 series units will begin to appear in future notebooks. However, Polaris GPUs will debut at Computex 2016, and should appear on notebooks in mid-2016.
