Nvidia plans to launch the first mid-range Pascal graphics cards based on the Pascal GP106 GPU throughout the fall of this year 2016 so we will not see them during the first half of the year.

Pascal GP106 mid-range will arrive at the end of the year

The new GP106 GPU- based graphics cards will correspond to the mid-range and are expected to offer significantly better performance than the current mid-range GeForce GTX 960 and GTX 950. The GP106 architecture is made up of two graphics processing clusters (GPCs) with a total of 1, 280 CUDA Cores, so it seems that, at the moment, we are not going to see a massive increase in the number of functional units with the arrival from Pascal.

This information contradicts the previous one that Nvidia would launch three Pascal cards in June, of course it could be just a paper release without availability in stores until the third or fourth quarter.

The new Pascal GP106 graphics cards should arrive with a price of around 250 euros.
