Tesla m10 by nvidia for virtualized environments
Table of contents:
Virtual desktop infrastructures and virtualized applications are becoming more common in business. Nvidia thinks that virtualization without GPU acceleration does not offer an optimal experience, even basic applications like Microsoft Office and Windows 10 offer GPU acceleration. To enhance the virtualization experience Nvidia has introduced the Tesla M10 with support for up to 64 users.
Tesla M10 with 4 GPUs and lots of memory
The Tesla M10 combines four Maxwell GM107 GPUs on a single card with a total of 32GB of GDDR5 memory. According to Nvidia, putting two Tesla M10s on one server allows up to 100 users per metric server, an attraction for system administrators planning the development of virtual infrastructures. The Tesla M10 adds high-density GPU resources to the existing Tesla product line.
Administrators wishing to use the M10 will need to purchase the corresponding licenses that have been simplified by Nvidia. In order to provide more flexibility, Nvidia has created annual subscription licenses at a cost of $ 10 per concurrent user, a virtual PC license costs $ 50 per concurrent user, and a license for a virtual workstation costs 250 dollars.
