Thermalright continues its policy of updating its best products and now offers the new Macho 120 Rev. B. And the changes aren't just about design, which can give us hope that this newcomer will be more interesting than the original, which was far from convincing when it was released.

Thermalright Male 120 Rev. B is an improved version of the original model

The Macho 120 was launched a few years ago for the AMD and Intel platforms with a low price that at that time was about 45 euros.

The first difference is seen in the heat pipes. Still with a Ø6mm diameter, they are now arranged in a different way. It is difficult to judge on a photo, but we can only assume that this modification was made for a small increase in thermal performance, without questioning the resistance of the radiator.

The fan also appears to have been replaced, now with a model TY-121 fan that offers speeds of 600 and 1800 RPM for an airflow of 77.28CFM.

Finally, the dimensions of the radiator are also different, mainly because the TY-121 is a true 120mm fan while the old TY-127 of the Macho 120 SBM measured 130mm. This modifies the dimensions to 150 x 102 x 120mm with a weight of 600g.

Compatibility is guaranteed with all recent sockets on Macho 120 Rev. B, except for TR4 for Threadripper chips. You can see all the details of the product here.
