Thermaltake has presented the psu toughpower pf1 at computex 2019

We love hardware and Computex 2019 is being our gaming palace. Here is the Thermaltake Toughpower PF1 modular power supply, a new gaming PSU that comes with RGB lighting and three power versions with 80 Plus Gold and Platinum certifications.

Well, we are dealing with an entirely modular power supply that has been presented at this Computex 2019 electronics fair, and whose specifications we will see below.

But before we must make a stop in the design of its outer shell, because as a novelty, we have an RGB LED lighting system (I think these five words are the ones I have written the most this week). Well, this system is presented both in the 140mm fan that is installed inside with 14 LEDs, and in the side panel of the power supply, which illuminates the entire area of ​​the brand, model and power of the source.

As for the system in question, it is compatible with the technologies of the main plate brands. Although we can also manage it directly through two buttons that we have on the external grill of the back plate, one to change the mode, and another to change the color. At least we save having to connect it to the board.

Speaking a little more about the fan, it is presented with a lighting ring in the purest style of the brand's PC fans, although in this case, the source integrates the Ultra Quiet Smart Zero Fan system. This what it does is that the fan only activates when the source reaches 40% or more of work load. On the outside we will have another button to activate or not this functionality.

Leaving the design behind, we see that it is a power supply that will be marketed with three different powers: 850W, 1050W and 1200W, really high power in all of them. Similarly, the certification will range between 80 Plus Gold and 80 Plus Platinum.

The power delivery system has been optimized to deliver the purest DC signal possible, with ripples less than 30mV at 12V, 5V and 3.3V.
