Thermaltake s300 is a variation on its series of black and white boxes
Table of contents:
After the A700, A500 and S500, it's time for the S300, a new Thermaltake case with a new design. It is quite simple, it is difficult to differentiate the boxes without being a connoisseur of the range. And perhaps it is not the best, to propose a sober and simple style with different materials, dimensions and chassis.
Thermaltake S300 - Strictly ATX medium tower with dimensions of 493 x 230 x 508mm
For the S300, or more exactly S300 TG since there is a tempered glass panel on the left, we started from a strictly ATX medium tower format with dimensions of 493 x 230 x 508mm, which is much less impressive than the S500. And the good news is that this downscaling does not remove too many possibilities, since we find, for example, the PCI supports, here seven in number, on a board that can be removed and reassembled at 90 ° to install a board vertically.
Externally, there is not much to say. Tempered glass on the left, magnetized mesh on the top, but also on the right with a piece on the front that allows hot air to be evacuated from a possible radiator installed along the base plate. As long as the hard drive bay is removed and a distribution board is not installed. We have a chassis that offers many possibilities according to the needs and desires, we only have to pay attention to the limitations that it entails.
Therefore, on the cooling side, we can install three 120mm fans along the motherboard. There's also a 120mm / 140mm slot at the back with oblong holes, plus enough room to put three 120mm, three 140mm, or two 200mm fans in the front, as well as three 120mm, two 140mm, or one 200mm at the top. However, there is a 240mm / 280mm limit for the latter if a radiator is attached.

There seems to be a lot of room inside, and the processor sink can be up to 170mm tall, while graphics cards should be no longer than 360mm. The 200mm power supply is no problem.
Its price should be less than 100 euros, knowing that the S500 costs approximately 110 euros.
