After a very interesting first A500, but quite expensive with its aluminum exterior, Thermaltake returns to the fray with the S500, or more exactly the S500 TG, a box that takes the appearance of the first but now with a steel chassis. Enough to raise the price up to € 110, plus some other changes.

Thermaltake S500 TG is a mid-tower case with a steel exterior

Externally, therefore, there is not much to say and we find an 'unibody' inspired box, with a facade that stands out and therefore gently breaks this aspect with the separation at the top, in front of the connectors. A complete connection with two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and sound. Nothing else, there is no filter at the top.

Inside, the case is modular and picks up on the brand's beloved concept with a removable hard drive bay that can be placed anywhere along the motherboard, sacrificing compatibility for cooling.

Because without a side disc, it is possible to install a 360mm radiator. Otherwise, we make it more classic with a radiator at the front (420mm maximum, if we like 140mm) and at the top (360mm). On the fan side, you can choose 2 x 200 mm on the front, allowing you to be surprised with possible LEDs that will be visible from the side of tempered glass.

At the rear, a 120mm fan is present as standard, with a 140mm fan at the front. The eight PCI brackets are complemented by other vertical brackets, with a mounting plate as a base on the power supply.

Thermaltake S500 TG arrives in Europe for around 110 euros. In Spain it seems that it is not available yet.
