Thermaltake today released the RGB version of ToughRAM memory that it had already announced at Computex. This memory kit (2x 8GB) includes a DDR4-3600 CAS 18 RAM, a DDR4-3200 CAS 16 and a DDR4-3000 CAS 16.

Thermaltake ToughRAM are new ARGB memory kits up to 3600 MHz

The code names for each memory have changed since they were first announced, with the DDR4-3600 P / N R009D408GX2-3600C18B replacing the original P / N R009D408GX2-3600C18A and DDR4-3000 P / N R009D408GX2-3000C16B-1 the original P / N R009D408GX2-3000C16A. The DDR4-3200 kit, the change, maintains its original number R009D408GX2-3200C16A.

Other changes include decreased tRCD / tRP / tRAS time and latencies from published memory specs, though we wouldn't be surprised if the specs for the new part numbers corresponded to the ones published in its preview.

These new Thermaltake memories have support for branded RGB lighting, with signature RGB Plus software with AI Voice Control, Alexa compatibility, and sync with Razer Chroma. Those who do not use any other Thermaltake RGB hardware will be happy to know that it also works with various motherboard applications, although this control requires the use of ARGB headers from a motherboard.

Price and availability

Currently available in Europe and Australia, the DDR4-3600 kit costs € 159, the DDR4-3200 € 129 and the DDR4-3000 kit € 119. Thermaltake did not confirm pricing or availability in the United States. In short, ToughRAM is one more memory option with RGB to beautify our PC and give it more capacity.
