AMD has confirmed when the third generation Threadripper processor would be launched. The 'Team Red' has confirmed via Twitter the launch of its new generation of Threadripper CPUs for the month of November.

Threadripper 3000 will be released in November, waiting for more details

The launch of the third generation of AMD Ryzen processors earlier this year has proven to be a huge hit with consumers and the manufacturer wants to repeat this success on its Threadripper platform.

AMD has been somewhat tight-lipped with this new generation. However, after an entry on their official Twitter account, we now have a confirmed (approximate) release date for them.

In fairness, this was the date most people expected, but at least AMD has had the courtesy to end the guesswork. Well, with the exception of the exact date anyway.

If we get suspicious, we might believe that this announcement via Twitter was due to the fact that Intel seems to have a solid alignment for its next series of Core X processors in the HEDT scene and they could not wait much longer to prepare an announcement.

Third generation Threadripper will make the first jump towards the 7nm node, which should impact an increase in performance and number of cores. Details will be known in the coming weeks, as AMD begins releasing more information on the models that will go on sale. We will keep you informed.
