Toshiba Memory will be called Kioxia from October

This combination forms the basis of the company's vision. Kioxia will cultivate the new era of memory, defined by the increasing demands for high-capacity, high-performance data storage and processing.

New era

It marks a new era for the firm, in addition to helping the company grow sustainably as a leading producer of flash memory for many years. Toshiba Memory Corporation has driven the technological evolution of flash memory from its invention of NAND flash memory in 1987 to the introduction of the latest BiCS FLASHTM 3D flash memory. As society creates increasing amounts of active data through new technologies such as 5G, IoT, and cloud computing, more memory is needed and

storage than ever.

As an industry pioneer and continuing world leader in flash memory and solid state drives, the company has positioned itself to enable our digital society to usher in a new memory era. One was that it will start in October this way.

There will surely be more news about the changes that Toshiba Memory is going to introduce with its new name. At the moment, we are already writing the name Kioxia in memory, which will be a reality in October of this year.
