Transcend SSD370

Transcend does not save on cost and makes a class presentation. We have a box that houses the SSD disk, instruction manuals, an adapter for 2.5 to 3.5 bays and two sets of screws for their respective installations.

It uses silver in the entire structure of the SSD, a color that dresses with any component. Its dimensions are normal for a 2.5-inch disk with 7 mm thickness, SATA III connectivity and a weight that ranges from 50 grams. Useful features include: View Drive Information, SMART Status View, Drive Diagnostics, Secure Erase, Firmware Update, Enable Trim, Health Indicatior and Clone System.

Final words and conclusion

Just 5 years ago there was very little variety of SSD drives and today we find a catalog with more than 25 models available in stores. The Transcend SSD370 is an SSD with a controller and NAND that offer a great result in reading and writing in its 128 and 256 GB models, somewhat low at 320 MB / s.

In our tests we have reached 539 MB / s read and 305 MB / s write in this 256GB model. The 512 and 1TB models go up to almost 500 MB / s.

In short, the Trascend offers the performance that the final consumer, the gamer or the one who wants an Intel NUC with a SSD "Good, beautiful and cheap" can demand. It is currently in an online store over 100 euros, with an excellent GB / euro ratio.
