Tronsmart Element T2 Plus is the new and improved version of the P2 Bluetooth speakers from the Chinese manufacturer with one of the best quality / price ratios on the market. This time we are presented with a design similar to the P2 although notably larger for its dual 20W speaker power, with True Wireless Stereo, Jack connectivity for analog equipment and Micro-SD card reader inherited directly from the T2.

Let's see how this bluetooth sound system behaves and if it is capable of lasting those 24 hours that the manufacturer promises with the volume at half. Best of all, its price is very similar to normal T2s, with many more features.

Exterior design

This Tronsmart Element T2 Plus presents a design very similar to the previous model, thus maintaining all the personality of this Bluetooth series for indoors and outdoors. This brand has a large number of models and designs available, although in these it stands out above all its complete resistance to water, with IPX7 certification, that is, resistance to complete immersion in water.

Regarding its design, we have a team with measures somewhat broader than the T2, with 17 cm long, 7 cm high and 5 cm wide, ideal for placing it on the floor or on a table and playing while we hold meetings with friends. The entire outer edge is made of a kind of hard plastic with a very silky and pleasant touch, while the two sides have a metal mesh. The sound output is only produced by one of these sides, which is obviously free of connections.

At one end it has a ring to hang it or transport it thanks to the included cord. Finally, in the lower area, two hard legs support this device on any surface.

Features and usage

We come to the most interesting section and where these Tronsmart Element T2 Plus bring out everything they are capable of doing. The system is made up of two speakers with an output of 20W of power, no less than double the T2 and we already anticipated that it will be noticed a lot. It is a device with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity compatible with practically any device with wireless capacity, of course with Android and iOS. The audio quality and power are very good, even with an excellent bass level and very detailed audio.

It offers us a very good coverage, which in open spaces can reach more than 30 m if we have a powerful terminal for the connection. Indoors it will depend a lot on the number of walls and thickness we have, but about 10 m will cover them without problems. As soon as it is turned on, it will be available and visible to all terminals, with a very fast pairing.

One of the most interesting features that these wireless speakers bring is that their double speaker allows us a real stereo or also called True Wireless Stereo, thanks to the latest generation connectivity. But it is not all, because with two Tronsmart Element T2 Plus they will be able to pair each other to generate a mat with independent outputs, just like a standard sound system.

In addition to being able to play content wirelessly, it also offers a complete rear panel with a 3.5 mm jack port to connect it to a PC, music system or player with analog output. And best of all, it has a Micro SD card reader to play our music directly from the section, something that the normal T2 already offered. Thus we save battery of both our smartphone and the device.

Full control, voice and hands-free compatible

As in other equipment of the Chinese manufacturer, these speakers are compatible with the voice commands of the Google Assistant, Siri and Cortana assistants, so we will have great versatility for the main multimedia-oriented systems.

Sound capture is done through a built- in microphone inside the Tronsmart Element T2 Plus, which supports hands-free mode. In this way we can make calls without any problem, and in the tests we have had no problems both receiving and calling.

The physical control consists of 5 buttons located in the upper area whose functions will be as follows:

+/- button: to increase or decrease volume and to skip songs. Play / Pause: song control, activate hands-free, disconnect bluetooth and reset the device. M: To pair two Tronsmart Element T2 Plus and for music playback mode On: Also activates the voice assistant.

Autonomy and charge

Another advantage that we have in this Tronsmart Element T2 Plus is precisely its battery, with a capacity of no less than 3600 mAh. The manufacturer indicates that its autonomy will arrive in 24 hours with a volume of 50%.

And the truth is that in our tests with bluetooth at a distance of 1 - 1.5 m and a volume of approximately 70% we have a duration of more than 20 hours. This will depend a lot on the distance at which we put ourselves. If we use the wired connection or the card reader we can increase the longevity to these 24 hours and even more, since there is no use of the wireless network.

Regarding the charging time and its capacity, we will cover a complete cycle in about 3 hours, at a maximum of 10W (5V / 2A), which is not too fast a speed since there is no dedicated charger. The device will automatically turn off after a few minutes in disuse, something that for example does not offer the previous version.

Final words and experience about Tronsmart Element T2 Plus

We come to the end of this review, and Tronsmart once again shows us the good quality and experience that another of its products leaves us, just like the recently tested Tronsmart Spunky Pro. The careful design that this brand puts on its products is one of its advantages, very compact, and even waterproof.

The sound experience is simply fantastic, worthy of a high end despite its low price, with a 20W dual speaker and powerful and detailed sound reproduction. It offers perfect stereo with both a single unit and two T2 Pro paired with each other. Of course this is built and the performance is impeccable.

The charging time is about 3 hours, and the truth is that it is quite a lot since it does not have its own charger, perhaps one of the small disadvantages. But the 3600 mAh will take us a full day of pre-production without major problems with a volume below half. It supports voice control, hands-free, Windows, iOS and Android.

And if we do not have a battery in the mobile, we can always connect a micro SD card with the songs in its rear slot or a 3.5 Jack to our PC to play content.
