A few days ago, Twitter announced that those accounts that had been inactive for more than six months were going to be eliminated. A process that the firm has already started. Twitter is looking for a new plan to do this. The social network has announced that they are looking for a way in which it is possible to honor, recognize and preserve the content of those who have already died, without deleting their content or causing harm to those close to these deceased. So this process of deleting accounts stops in this way.

The social network announced this measure to delete accounts, in part because they have to comply with various regulations. So they are partly obligated, but now they will look for a more careful way of doing it.

We do not know if Twitter is going to follow the example of Facebook, which has options that make it possible to turn the profiles of deceased into a kind of commemorative page. It could be an idea to explore, but it is not known if this is one of his ideas or plans, for now.
