Twitter joins foursquare
Twitter announced a partnership with Foursquare to allow users to share their published tweets at a specific location . The news was disclosed by the microblog on Monday, March 23, in its official profile. In this way, users can share with their friends, their favorite places and restaurants in any city in the world, through the social network.
Foursquare is known for providing feature verification where users are where they are present and sharing with contacts from other social networks. Already Twitter currently only allows Internet users to add the location where they are, but it is limited to one city and one country. The novelty of this integration with the two services is being able to mark a specific location, such as a favorite bar or establishment in each Tweet.
The new feature offers more possibilities for messages to Android and iOS web and mobile platform users . In the announcement, Twitter reveals: “soon! We are working with @foursquare so you can mark a specific location in tweets, "accompanied by a video that explains how the feature will be added.
In addition, Internet users will still be able to visualize what happens at the place marked in the tweet, since the microblog refers to a page with only the remaining positions of users who made the same mark in the same location.
To use simply activate the geolocation of the computer or device and check your site before making the post. An item that displays a list of the closest places, in the same way as the current mark is done only by adding new places, establishments and more, as the GPS location is displayed. Still no prediction of when the feature will be available to all microblog users, but it's worth keeping an eye on the web app and for updates.
