Ubuntu 16.10 beta 2 is available for download

The final version of Ubuntu 16.10 is released on October 13

This new version will not bring too many revolutionary changes to what was already present in Ubuntu 16.04 and probably highlights the new graphics mode of Unity 7, ideal for older computers or when the graphics card is not recognized correctly.

The developers of Ubuntu have emphasized the significant performance improvement that will come with Ubuntu 16.10 over previous versions of the distro and the use of the Linux 4.8 Kernel, which will surely improve the stability and security of the entire system. The desktop environment will also be updated to GNOME 3.20 for those who use this specific desktop environment, which will surely be updated later to GNOME 2.22.

New GNOME 3.20 desktop environment

From the time of the release of Ubuntu 16.10 Beta 2, there will be 4 versions available for download. The classic Ubuntu GNOME with the desktop environment of the same name, Ubuntu Mate which is the same as the previous one only with the special Mate desktop for laptops, Lubuntu which is the lighter version of the distro and Kubuntu that comes with the KDE environment.
