The new Geekbench 5 version was recently released and we already have interesting leaks about Ryzen Threadripper 3000 on this new platform.

Apparently, they have benchmarked again with the AMD Sharkstooth test unit and the results have been uploaded to the Geekbench database. The truth is that the score is quite high and we believe that it may mark a before and after in the top processor market.

Up to 70% higher Ryzen Threadripper 3000 test processor than the 2990W

This new test unit seems to belong to the future line of Ryzen Threadripper 3000 processors , although we can not confirm anything. It has 32 cores and 64 threads with Zen 2 micro-architecture and has been tested on both Geekbench 4 and Geekbench 5 .

Regarding its characteristics, it has a base frequency of 3.60 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.20 GHz . In addition, it will have 128 MB of L3 cache memory and 16 MB of L2 cache , which will leave us with a sum of more than 144 total MB .

Although there is nothing confirmed, these numbers are already quite positive. Only in characteristics we already find a good superiority compared to previous generations, but the thing is that the benchmarks only improve the image. Next, we will show you the results that this Ryzen Threadripper 3000 has obtained in both tests.

Geekbench 4

Geekbench 5

While the test in Geekbench 4 gets almost the same results, in Geekbench 5 things change. This new test has more technologies in its sights and is more demanding with the new components.

The test Ryzen Threadripper 3000 scores 1275 points in single-core and 23015 in multi-core , while the Threadripper 2990WX scores around 1100 and 13400 points , on average. If we do the math, we will see that the test unit has an improvement of around 71% .

We hope that Ryzen Threadripper 3000 continues in this line and offers us aúpa processors. According to AMD's president and CEO , we will have official information on these CPUs later this year.

And what do you think of these results? Do you think the power obtained is enough to be the next generation? Share your ideas in the comment box.
