Vulnerability endangers logitech wireless keyboards and mice
Table of contents:
A security breach has been found in Logitech wireless mice and keyboards. This gap affects models launched in the last 10 years on the market. This security flaw allows the attacker to keep a record of the keys pressed by the user, in addition to being able to send their own commands to the computer, and infect it in this way. The company has already found the security breach, as is known.
Vulnerability endangers Logitech wireless keyboards and mice
This vulnerability takes advantage of Unifying, the brand's wireless standard that allows multiple input devices to work with a single USB receiver.
Vulnerability
Due to a hole in Unifying, the attacker can create a back door with which to inject malicious information into the computer or obtain information from it. Although the good part is that being able to carry out an attack is somewhat more complicated than it seems. Since the attacker has to have physical access to the Logitech keyboard. So without such presence it is not possible.
Wireless keyboards and mice released in the last ten years are among the affected models. They are all those who make use of the brand's Unifying technology, which began to be used officially in 2009.
Therefore, surely many of you have a Logitech keyboard or mouse, which could be among those affected. Although if you don't give anyone access to your keyboard, it shouldn't be a problem for your security. At the moment we do not know what solution the company is going to introduce to end this vulnerability on their devices.
