User creates a patch to continue updating windows 7 and windows 8.1 with kaby lake and ryzen

Microsoft remains committed to all users migrating to Windows 10, one of its latest measures has been to make users of Intel Kaby Lake and AMD Ryzen processors unable to install updates on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. Once again, the community has shown that it can go above and beyond the limitations that we are trying to impose on ourselves.

A user has managed to create a patch that allows users of Intel Kaby Lake and AMD Ryzen processors to continue updating Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 systems with total normality, with this we see that they have been disinterestedly returned to the owners of these new processors the freedom that Microsoft had previously taken from them.

The patch is open-source so anyone can look at their code if they want to, its creator Zeffy has discovered two new features of the wuaueng.dll file introduced with the update of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 in March. This file is the one that was in charge of making the installation of the updates impossible, Zeffy has already patched it to remove the limitation imposed by Microsoft.
