Valve to release new vr knuckle controllers with individual finger tracking
Table of contents:
Current VR controllers do a good job of finger tracking 3D movements, but there is plenty of room for improvement in this area, and Valve is working to improve the way we interact with virtual reality worlds as a result. One of the best ways to do this is to improve the hand and gesture recognition of your new Knuckles controllers.
Knuckles is Valve's new step in VR
That is precisely the intention of Valve with its new Knuckles controllers for virtual reality, these are based on the use of a new technology "CapSense" that adds a capacitive system to the grip of the controls to improve its ability to recognize the gestures made by the user during use. For this, several sensors are used that need to be calibrated, in order to offer the best precision in detecting the user's hands, and thus be able to know the degrees of curvature of the fingers and much more.

Valve is already testing this new technology with its partners but nothing is yet known about when it will be available to users of virtual reality systems, which if it seems clear is that it can offer a very important advance in the way of interacting with this revolutionary technology.
