The digital canon returns

Íñigo Méndez, assured today Friday, that they are working on the return of the Canon Digital. What is pursued is to regulate private copying, although at the moment we only have drafts, including one that suggests the return of the digital canon. As they have explained today, they have reached a "beginning" agreement to start work that changes the model for payment for private copying. This happens a month after the Supreme Court annulled it, but in principle, we would have the green light for a possible return of this Digital Canon that has been so talked about in recent months.

What has been published in the media is simply one of the drafts that is being considered, this means that it could go ahead or finally come to nothing. It is only a draft, it is not a definitive agreement. You are simply talking to reach an agreement that is beneficial to all parties.

What many users are asking themselves on social networks, is how is it different from the above? Why would he go ahead this time? What we have known is that, unlike the previous system, there would be exemptions from the payment of this fee by public administrations, end consumers who justify that the copy is for professional use or for parties such as nightclubs or who have license contracts.
