Western Digital has introduced its new PCIe NVMe SSD called simply as WD Black. This SSD drive joins extensive list of high performance storage memories that lately are becoming hugely popular among PC users who require the best data transfer speed.

WD Black will come in two sizes, one 256GB with 80TB durability and another 512GB storage model with 160TB durability. The memory type was not specified, but is believed to be of the NAND TLC type manufactured at 15nm by Toshiba. Due to its type and durability, it is perfect for video games but not for intense use, such as graphic design. Consumption will be at 8W.
Western Digital will be selling the WD Black for a price of $ 109 for the 256GB model and $ 200 for the 512GB model with a 5-year warranty.
