The WD Black 2 dual drive is designed for enthusiasts, creative professionals, gamers, and PC assemblers, and aims to provide greater overall capacity, better performance and reliability, as well as flexibility in choosing how and where data is stored. Utilizing the benefits of both magnetic and flash drives, the dual WD Black 2 drives offload the data usage from the SSD to the hard drive (HDD), increasing the strength and life of the SSD. In this way, users maintain greater control over data, and thus can eliminate the need and cost of cloud-based storage.
WD Black is free of cache algorithms and has a SATA interface speed of 6 Gb / s. The disk has been carefully crafted in a standard 9.5mm and 2.5in format with the existing SATA connector, making the WD Black 2 dual drive compatible with the most popular PC operating systems, from Windows XP to Windows 8.1.
