Western Digital aims to diversify its storage proposal and that is why it announces WD_BLACK as its new brand aimed at the video game audience, both for PCs and consoles.

The WD_BLACK brand appears to be a derivative of Western Digital's popular Caviar Black series, but now in external and portable format. This allows us to easily carry the data stored in it in a very practical way to any compatible PC or device.

Western Digital thus introduced the WD_BLACK P10 Portable Hard Drive, the D10 External Desktop Hard Drive, the P50 Portable Solid State Drive, and the Xbox One variants of the P10 and D10 drives.

WD_BLACK P10

It is a 'pocket' portable hard drive with a single USB 3.1 cable required for power and connectivity. This comes in 2TB, 4TB, and 5TB capacities. Its Xbox One variant bears the Xbox One logo and includes a 2-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

WD_BLACK D10

This desktop model comes with its separate power cables and host connectivity. It has high-current USB type A ports to recharge wireless peripherals. The base variant of the WD_BLACK D10 comes in 8TB of capacity, while the D10 Xbox One edition comes in 12TB of capacity and 3 months of Gamepass. This capacity will allow having a large number of games installed.

WD_BLACK P50

It is an NVMe SSD that offers sequential transfer speeds of up to 2000 MB / s using a USB 3.2 Gen 2 × 2 (20 Gbps) interface. A single cable handles power and connectivity to the computer. It comes in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities.
