Another update to Windows 10, another bug that breaks the system. Microsoft has just released an update causing the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on the Surface Book 2 device, one of Redmond's iconic PCs.

The owners of the Surface Book 2 have reported receiving blue screen errors after installing the new update available for their device. Fortunately, there is a way to roll back and update the problematic update. Microsoft has already blocked the update on Surface Book 2 drives, and promises a fix in the December 2018 security update.

What makes this latest bug worse is the fact that it doesn't occur on any associated OEM hardware, but on Microsoft's Surface Book 2. Launched last year, the 2-in-1 laptop hybrid is still part of its core lineup. The user would think that the company would take greater care to ensure that the updates work correctly on their own devices. While few will argue that being able to roll out updates and fixes quickly is a good thing, there is a general sense of speed coming from Redmond. And haste not only creates problems, it can also become a reason for class action lawsuits.

In summary , Microsoft still does not hit the Windows 10 key, and the operating system is in the news every week, and not exactly for the better. Hopefully the situation will begin to change soon, or else the image of Redmond's may be quite damaged, although Windows will continue to be the king of PC operating systems no matter what happens and regardless of who regrets it.
