After almost two weeks, Microsoft has finally released a new preview of Windows 10 Redstone 4.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 17035 - everything new
The current version is available to those in the Windows Insider Quick Ring. Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17035 incorporates a number of new features, including the ability to mute tabs in the Edge browser or the ability to limit the bandwidth of updates.
Improvements in Microsoft Edge
Mute Tab: This compilation introduces a new function to mute a tab that is playing audio. Now an audio icon is shown when a tab is playing media, it can be clicked and any tab that is playing audio or video will be muted.
Save free EPUBs: Now it is possible to save any free ebook we are reading and more options are also added by right clicking, such as View in Microsoft Store, Pin to Start and Update books.
Near Share
This is a new functionality with which we can share a URL with any user who is on our network quickly. It seems like a simple function, but it solves not having to depend on social networks or other means to share a link with a person on our network.
Configuration enhancements
Windows Update improvements: Now you can limit the bandwidth of the downloads in the system, be it a system update or from the Windows Store. This was one of the great claims of the community.
Sound settings are now in Settings: Now you can change some of the usual sound settings, like switch devices and troubleshoot, in Settings> System> Sound.
Touch keyboard enhancements
Now with Acrylic! With this build the touchpad was updated to have an acrylic background. This change is reflected in all keyboard layouts hosted on the XAML touch keyboard.
Improved handwriting panel
Optimized text insertion: In this version new animations were added and the button design of the writing pad was changed.
Improved word recognition: Now that handwritten words are better recognized, Microsoft is working hard on this for those with touchscreens.
Another interesting aspect is that Microsoft is adding word suggestions as we write, although we assume that this will only be in the English version at the moment.
Remember that you must be part of Windows Insider to be able to try this early version of Windows 10 Redstone 4.
