Windows 10 will be necessary for the next intel and amd processors

Anonim

When choosing a processor to mount a PC, users must now look at the compatibility between the motherboard and the processor itself, very soon a new variable will enter and that is that the next processors will only be supported by Windows 10 (Linux apart).

Microsoft has decided to make a new effort to force users to upgrade their PCs to Windows 10, and couldn't think of anything else to do that future AMD Zen and Intel Kaby Lake processors only work under Windows 10. This means that you will not be able to use Windows 8.1 or any of the previous versions of the Redmond operating system together with one of the new Zen or Kaby Lake processors.

Microsoft excuses itself saying that both Windows 10 and these new processors are designed to work together, something that may be true to some extent but that is still an excuse to force users to upgrade to Windows 10, Microsoft certainly does not want have another Windows XP and you will put all the meat on the grill.

Regarding the current Intel Skylake, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 operating systems based on these chips will continue to receive full support until July 2017, at which time they will only continue to receive critical updates.
