Xpg sx9000, adata presents its high-end ssd drive
Table of contents:
ADATA has announced its new high-end market SSD for this class of storage drives. The new XPG SX9000 units are based on the Marvell 88SS1093 BTB2 controller and are paired with Toshiba's 2D MLC NAND flash memory.
ADATA XPG SX9000 will come in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB models
ADATA XPG SX9000 SSDs use the Marvell 88SS1093 BTB2 controller, which has three processor cores and 8 NAND channels, with 4 banks per channel for 32 targets in total. The IC is an upgraded version of the 88SS1093 with high frequencies and performance to boost the speed of high-end SSDs. The 88SS1093 BTB2 supports Marvell's third generation of ECC technology based on the LDPC algorithm and uses the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface.
The new ADATA XPG SX9000 drives will be available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations in the M.2-2280 format.
ADATA is promising a sequential read speed of up to 2.8GB / s and a sequential write speed of up to 1.45GB / s for the 1TB model. As for the random read / write performance, ADATA offers 310K / 240K IOPS for the most advanced model.
Reliability is something that ADATA is paying close attention to with the XPG SX9000. The units have a capacity of up to 1 PBW (terabytes to write) and two million hours of MTBF, which in turn is combined with a five-year warranty.
We still don't know its price and release date.
