EVGA has announced its new generation of Z390 motherboards that includes the Z390 DARK and Z390 FTW. Both have been created from scratch, offering the best overclocking capabilities and the most exclusive designs that can be seen in a product based on the new Intel chipset.
EVGA Z390 DARK
Starting with the flagship, the EVGA Z390 DARK is the most uniquely designed motherboard we can see right now. It comes with the LGA 1151 socket which is tilted at a 90 degree angle, facing the 24-pin ATX power connector.
The motherboard comes with a 17-phase VRM design that uses high-quality components and gold casing for each component to improve power delivery. EVGA uses all the angled connectors on its cards that include the 24-pin ATX connector and dual 8-pin power connectors for easy cable management. Also, printed circuit board is 10 layers.
As you can see we have 2 DDR4 DIMM slots, 3 PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, single PCI-e 3.0 x4 slot and 2 M.2 slots. EVGA is offering triple BIOS support on this board.
EVGA Z390 FTW
Moving on to the Z390 FTW, we're looking at the classic EVGA motherboard design with the white I / O shield and matte black PCB. The motherboard has an 11-phase VRM and maintains all the basic features of a quality Z390 product.
Z390 FTW features 6 SATA ports, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type A and Type C ports, USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, USB 2.0 ports, multiple M.2 sockets, Intel Optane support, 7.1 channel audio with EVGA NU Audio and an Intel Gigabit card NIC.
Pricing has yet to be revealed, as we await the official launch of the 9th Gen Intel Core on October 19.
