Zotac launches its new zbox c mini pcs with passive cooling

ZOTAC is a brand that we know especially for the graphic cards that it assembles. However, it has always been very active in the Mini PC market, where today a new launch stands out: the renewal of its ZBOX C series .

Barebones Zotac ZBOX C: passive cooling and 8th generation processors

At the design level, the new generation has an extremely compact design with a stylish contrast in black and white and honeycomb-style grilles that help the airflow while giving it a very personal aesthetic touch. The mark indicates that 90% of the equipment surface has open ventilation so that the PC can “breathe”.

In any case, what matters most and what has really improved are the cooling capacities of these mini PCs, being able to support processors with a TDP of up to 25W, 66% more than in the last generation. It may sound little, but remember that it is an extremely compact computer without any type of fan.

Thanks to this, the highest configuration in the range, the ZBOX CI660 Nano is capable of handling an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, specifically the i7-8550U with 4 cores and 8 threads at a turbo frequency of up to 4GHz. Regarding graphics, it makes use of the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 processor perfect for working and even watching multimedia at 4K @ 60Hz.

The Mini-PC's expansion capabilities are found in RAM and storage, which are not included as it is a barebone and must be installed later. It supports 2.5 ″ SATA HDD / SSDs (a pity that it doesn't support M.2) and it has two SO-DIMM RAM slots that allow up to 32GB. It also has wifi antenna, HDMI, DisplayPort, 2 USB type-C, 5 USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.2 and two LAN ports.

The brand has not announced prices or availability of these devices. In addition to the CI660 Nano we've focused on, the CI640 nano and CI620 nano will be available, with i5 4-core / 8-thread and i3 2-core / 4-thread processors respectively.
