Finally the moment that many of us expected has arrived. The ZTE Grand S Flex model from the Chinese company ZTE has just landed in Europe, more specifically in countries such as Finland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Spain. It is a mid-high range smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity whose design can remind us to a certain extent of an Iphone.

Technical characteristics

The ZTE Grand S Flex features a 5-inch HD screen with IPS technology and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (294 ppi) accompanied by the Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core @ 1.20 GHz processor. As for the graphics we have with Adreno 305 GPU supported by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately it does not have a micro SD card slot, so it is not expandable memory. The operating system that governs it is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

As far as the camera is concerned, as is customary in most high or medium-high range terminals, it has two different lenses: an 8-megapixel rear with LED flash and the 1.2-megapixel front camera. This Grand S Flex is capable of recording and playing 1080p video. Other features to highlight are its Dolby Digital Plus sound, Bluetooth 3.0, flashlight, WiFi 802.11 b / g connectivity, 4G LTE, GPS and a 2300 mAh battery.

High-end design

As for its size, it boasts the following dimensions: 143 x 70.9 x 8.5 mm thick and weighing 130 grams. Its front part is made of black glass with the Back, Home and Menu capacitive buttons, as presented by almost all Android devices, while its rear casing is plastic and we can find it in white, except in the camera area which is also black. The device has rounded lines in its corners very well finished. The power button is located on the left side along with its microSIM tray. On the right side it has the volume buttons and its USB connection. At the top is the 3.5mm audio jack connection and at the bottom the microphone.

Conclusion and price

Thanks to these characteristics, the ZTE model has been awarded an IFA 2013 award for its fine design, LTE 4G connectivity and its HD screen, which as we have said before has 5 inches and IPS technology, which makes it a terminal at the height of most of the latest games and applications on the market.

Its price is quite adjusted if we compare it with other smartphones of the competition. The operator that offers them in Spain is Yoigo for 269 euros and if we want it free, we can find it for about 310 euros in some free stores of origin.
