To continue cheering the week, we bring you the review of the ADATA Gammix S11 Pro high-performance SSD. The manufacturer promises us for this SSD with 3D TLC memories read rates of 3200 MB / s and 3000 MB / s write.
Will this SSD be worth it compared to others that we have analyzed? All this and much more we will discover during this review.
First of all, we thank ADATA for the trust placed in us when transferring the product to us for analysis.

Unboxing and design
ADATA Gammix S11 Pro is presented in a very compact cardboard box, where the black color stands out throughout its cover. We have a small window that shows us the SSD that we have purchased. While in the back area the manufacturer details the main characteristics of the product in different languages.
The ADATA Gammix S11 Pro is a high-performance third-generation x4 PCI Express NVMe SSD. It has the standard measurements of the size 2280 of these units, so it translates into measurements of 22 x 80 x 6.1 mm and a weight of only 11 grams. This unit is especially thicker incorporating a red heatsink.
The device is made from a high-quality PCB, something that adds to the brand's great work to improve the firmware and capabilities come with the double-sided form factor.
Although we believe that it is not the best heatsink that ADATA could have chosen, because the solutions offered by EK and AQUACOMPUTER are much superior, it is appreciated that it incorporates this thin aluminum foil, since it helps to better cool these hot chips. But will it be enough? Will we see it a little later? This says much more than what we normally find on other SSDs from other manufacturers.
64-layer NAND TLC 3D memory brings to life most new SSDs from these past two years, meaning all or almost all SSDs are on equal footing in this regard, and manufacturers have to put effort into other areas to highlight.
ADATA Gammix S11 Pro offers three capacities available for this model: 256, 512 GB and 1 TB. In our case we have received the most recommended option, the 512 GB option.
In the previous image you can see that we have removed the small heatsink to see the components that ADATA has chosen for one of its top-of-the-range models.
The ADATA Gammix S11 Pro promises us sequential read and write rates of up to 3, 500 MB / s and 3, 000 MB / s respectively. These high speeds are possible thanks to the NVMe protocol, the PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface and a high-performance Silicon Motion's SM2262EN controller. It also has an SLC cache and 3D TLC memory, as many of you know, they are not up to the MLC but they give very good performance, so its price is cheaper than other models.
On paper the consumption of the device is 0.33 w and it can operate in temperatures from -40 ºC to 85 ºC. It also has a shock resistance of 1500G / 0.5ms, and a MTBF of 2, 000, 000 hours. ADATA has decided to offer us a total of 5 years of warranty, taking into account its components it seems to us a more than reasonable amount for a new substitute.
The write durability for the 256GB model is 160TB, for the 512GB model it is 320TB, and for the 1TB model it is 640TB.
ADATA also offers us its own application to invite us to monitor and see the status of our SSD at all times. We have a first tab that offers us all the information on the SSD: current temperatures, written data, free capacity, the theoretical lifetime of the SSD and its health.
A second diagnosis tab. With it we can do a quick test to check if it passes the tests that ADATA consider the most optimal. It also allows us to optimize the system to have our SSD in the best conditions and fast information from our PC. It is not the best application we have seen, but it seems advisable to install it if you purchase this unit.

One of the most awaited moments arrives to check the performance of the ADATA Gammix S11 Pro 512 GB, which is what everyone is interested in, right? We have used a state-of-the-art test bench with an i9-9900K processor, liquid cooling for the processor and an Asus Z390 Asus Maximus XI Formula motherboard.
The software we have used is:

Temperatures
We launched a thermal camera (you will get bloated from seeing tests of this type from now on) and we wanted to check the temperatures that the Flir One PRO marks for us both at rest and at maximum performance.
We have also compared the temperatures marked with software vs. camera. We leave you a table to see the temperature differences between both methods, pointing to the SSD controller.

Measurement software: hwinfo64 | 20 ºC | 37 ºC |
Hardware measurement: Flir One PRO | 23 ºC | 40 ºC |
Final words and conclusion about ADATA Gammix S11 Pro
The ADATA Gammix S11 Pro SSD features an NVME PCIe x4 format and a very aggressive design. Currently we have it available in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1TB with read rates of 3500 MB / s and write of 3000 MB / s sequential.
We also have a 4K Random read of 390K in read and 380K in write along with a 320TB durability for this model. In our tests we have obtained 3489 MB / s of reading and 2327 MB / s of writing. Something far from the theoretical 3000 MB / s of writing.
We recommend you read the Best SSDs on the market
Regarding temperatures, it has behaved very well with the small heatsink that comes standard. It seems to us a success on the part of the company, but we believe that there are solutions that make it a little thicker, but that offer greater performance and tranquility to the user.
The price is very good, currently we can buy the 256 GB model for 84 euros, the 512 GB model for 126 euros and the 1 TB model for 256 euros. For us it is a highly recommended option? What do you think of this SSD? Do you have it on your PC or are you thinking of buying it? We want to know your opinion!
