ADATA is launching its new “IM2P33E8” SSD, which is primarily designed for industrial applications, but of course it can also be used on laptops and desktops. Since it's a PCIe Gen3 x4 drive, it's incredibly fast.

The IM2P33E8 PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 SSD is NVMe 1.3 compliant and offers read and write speeds of up to 3500/3200 MB per second, making it up to six times faster than standard SATA III drives.

The unit is equipped with 3D NAND memory and comes with storage capacities ranging from 256GB to 2TB. As they are business capacity units, they can operate in really high and non-normal temperatures, ranging from normal operating temperatures (0 ° C to 70 ° C) and a variant of this unit that can operate in temperatures from -40 ° C at 85 ° C.

To improve security, integrity, and durability, the IM2P33E8 features a data protection engine and E2E RAID (end-to-end). Additionally, the IM2P33E8 uses AES encryption and TCG Opal to keep sensitive data away from prying eyes. This is what ADATA communicates.

The company further says: "With the purchase of the IM2P33E8, customers can download the ADATA SSD toolbox." They refer to the SSD Toolbox application that allows users to monitor and manage this IM2P33E8 unit or any other the brand, where we obtain information about the state of the unit, different functions to update the firmware or configure Windows 10 to take full advantage of the solid state unit.

There are four capacities to choose from: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. There will be different SKUs to indicate industrial or commercial variants, with the former with model numbers ending in "P" and the latter in "D". Pricing is unknown at this time, but these units should be available later this month.
