Samsung's new arm chips will achieve record speeds for smartphones

Samsung and ARM announce that their current collaboration will be extended. Both firms collaborate closely in manufacturing processors for the Korean firm, which has one of the most advanced production processes on the market. Its next generation will already be manufactured in a 7 nanometer process. So great performance is expected from these new signature chips.

As a result of this collaboration, the processors will eventually reach and exceed the 3 GHz speed on high-performance cores. In this way they would exceed the record that is set by the last Exynos, at 2.9 GHz.

Samsung and ARM continue to work together

Much of this success is due to ARM's Artisan Physical IP platform. Thanks to it, its advantages will be applied to Samsung's 7 nanometer processors. And later on those made in 5 nanometers. The production of the first ones will start in the second half of this year if everything goes well. So next year they should hit the market.
