Well, a new rumor has come to light that points to the real name.

The "GTX 1180" appears on AIDA64

This program, essential in the hardware world for its diagnosis and testing, received a new BETA version in which the release notes include support for the new NVIDIA GV104 silicons, corresponding to the next GTX 1180 or 2080. However, include one more piece of information.

When the device IDs included in the new beta are extracted, it can be found that the GV104 corresponds to the GTX 1180, this data being associated with ID 1e87. However, this collides with a recent rumor of an alleged certification of a model from a Chinese manufacturer called 'GTX 2080', however, it was denied by the brand itself so it may be necessary to give more credibility to such an important program like this.

The Aida64 release notes already brought forward several events in the past, such as 16-core Threadripper processors or RX 500 graphics cards.
