Amazon had a good end of the year, having broken all records in the Christmas campaign. The firm seeks to maintain its good streak in 2019. For this reason, they are forced to think of new strategies to get customers to continue buying, even in times of low sales such as these first months of the year. In the United States they have already started with a new plan.

They are sending free samples to their clients. They have been testing this system for a few months in the country, which at the moment seems to be having good results.

Amazon tests a new strategy

We find a huge number of products in these samples that Amazon sends to its customers. Because there is food, beauty products, household products or animal food, among others. So it is to be supposed that they have relied on the purchases that their clients have made in the past to send said samples to their homes. This new strategy is seen by many as something more effective than making announcements on the network.

Currently, only consumers in the United States, who do not need to have a Prime account to receive them, are obtaining these samples. Nothing is known about its possible deployment in other markets.

It remains to be seen if this new Amazon strategy works and the company gets higher sales. Maybe if the results in the United States are positive, the company may decide to introduce it in other countries. But for now there is no data that makes us think that it will happen.
