This year they bought Whole Foods, an organic supermarket in America. Now, the company decides to stand up to a decoration giant like IKEA. Amazon introduces two furniture brands.

Buying furniture from Amazon implies having some advantages. For example, home delivery is free in this case. It is a very interesting move by the company. Also, it comes shortly after they've started selling IKEA products online.

They are two completely different brands. On the one hand we find Rivet, a modern line aimed at a younger audience. Also designed for apartments in cities, so there is furniture for smaller spaces. The other brand is Stone & Beam, a somewhat more country and rustic brand, aimed at families. Also designed for more spacious houses. The second of the brands is somewhat more expensive.

Amazon wants to integrate its advantages with Amazon Prime. So products like a sofa will have free shipping. In addition, consumers will have 30 days to return the products of both brands for free. These shipping costs are the key element on which the company wants to base its strategy. Since it is something that IKEA does not have.
