Amd catalyst omega on the way by the end of the year
AMD plans a major update to its AMD Catalyst graphics card drivers, an update that would arrive later this year again under the name AMD Catalyst Omega.
AMD Catalyst Omega drivers debuted at the end of last year bringing a significant performance and performance improvement to AMD Radeon GPUs. It seems that this year we will also have a version of the AMD Catalyst Omega driver so we can expect a good handful of improvements for the GPUs of the Sunnyvale ones.
The 2014 AMD Catalyst Omega brought support for technologies like 4K Virtual Super Resolution (VSR), TressFX 3.0, support for 5K displays, and various image quality improvements.
Let's hope the new AMD Catalyst Omega drivers live up to last year's edition and give us a good handful of joys.
