The AMD Radeon RX 480 is surely the most anticipated graphics card for its high performance and its excellent quality / price ratio. Last Friday, the first results were filtered with the 3DMARK11 benchmark where we see that it is fighting with the Nvidia GTX 980.

AMD Radeon RX 480 3DMARK11

As we have already mentioned, the AMD Radeon RX 480 will mount the Polaris 10 processor (Ellesmere) manufactured at 14 nm with a total of 36 CU (Compute UNits), 2304 stream processor and a TDP of 150W. As a base frequency it is at 1200 MHz and it will come with 4 or 8 GB of GDDR5 memory (the normal one) with a 256-bit interface and a bandwidth of 256 GB / s.

The first filtered test with 3DMARK11 is from the 8 GB model at a speed of 1266 MHz and 4000 MHz memories accompanied by an i7-4770 processor. The final result of the test is 14461P (points), that is, 2437 points more than with a configuration of the radiant GTX 970. Are we facing one of the best options on the market? Clearly yes, since it is fully compatible with virtual reality configurations and it will position itself as one of our favorites in our guide to the best graphics cards of the moment. Can we ask for something more? Let it out now! Do not you think?

And to you what you think about the performance of the AMD Radeon RX 480. Are you waiting for it or are you waiting for the top of the AMD range in graphics cards?
