Amd radeon software crimson edition replaces catalyst
AMD has decided that the time has come for its Catalyst Control Center software to pass into a better life and nothing better to celebrate than to announce its successor, the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition, a completely new version built from scratch.
This change comes after AMD has separated its graphics division under the name of Radeon Technologies Group and under the command of Raja Koduri. The new AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition software is a complete suite of applications designed to provide precise control of the visual computing experience.
The center of the suite is the Radeon Settings application with a new minimalist interface with a design reminiscent of Windows 10, although with touches of Mac OSX and Linux. The application has been designed to offer a very fast start and response, at the top is a selection bar with multiple pages of configuration options while at the bottom are some minor options and buttons related to social networks. In addition, the application incorporates the functions of the Raptr application that was previously installed separately and which serves to configure game settings optimally using profiles.
Also included is a new overclocking panel with a much more complete design than the one found so far, several video profiles are added that will allow the user to improve the video quality in each situation very easily through a total of eight presets, Management of multi-monitor configurations and various AMD Eyefinity, AMD FreeSyc and Virtual Super Resolution technologies is facilitated. Of course, the function of notifying the user of new available updates could not be missing.
The AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition software will be available for download at the end of this November.
